In the article, on the ground of analysis of literature, the historical development of the national criminal procedural law defines the structure of the functional model of criminal procedural activities to investigate crimes and its significance for the analysis of the effectiveness of legal regulation of pre-trial investigation. It is noted that during the long history of pre-crime investigation rozbudovuvalosya the system of formal rules of law proceedings authorized state law enforcement officials distributed over pre-trial stage of criminal proceedings aimed at knowledge of a crime in certain ways and means, the results of which serve as bases for adopt procedural decisions in criminal proceedings (right) autho- rized agents of the criminal process (investigators, heads of the preliminary investigation, prosecutor, investigating judge, court, etc.), for solving problems of the criminal proceedings both at pre-trial stage of criminal proceedings and in court.
