SCIENTIFIC - PRACTICAL JOURNAL "HERALD OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE"

Herald OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE’’ (hereinafter – HCJ) is a periodic peer-reviewed professional scientific and practical journal with open access, which unites leading institutions of higher education in the legal field. The main purpose of the Herald is to publish peer-reviewed author’s research articles that present original results of research in the field of law, as well as recommendatory and practical materials on various areas of law (generalization of practice, reviews, reviews of publications, etc.), which are aimed at helping practicing lawyers.

The editorial policy of the HCJ is based on the principles of objectivity and impartiality in the selection of articles for publication; establishes high requirements for the quality of scientific research; mandatory review of articles; collegiality in making decisions on the publication of articles; accessibility and efficiency in communicating with authors; strict observance of copyright and related rights. The main criterion for the selection of materials for publication is their originality and relevance of the idea, and the scientific and factual reliability of the material presented.

The target audience of HCJ is scientists, practitioners, teachers, doctoral students, graduate students, and students.

HCJ is included in category “B” of the list of scientific professional publications of Ukraine, in which the results of dissertations for obtaining scientific degrees in the specialty: 081 – Law

The founders include Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, the National Academy of Internal Affairs, the National Academy of the Security Service of Ukraine, Pravova Ednist LLC. The editorial board includes well-known Ukrainian and foreign scientists and lawyers from Ukraine, Poland, the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Italian Republic, the Federal Republic of Germany, the Kingdom of Spain.

All materials are distributed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Public License, which allows others to distribute the manuscript with recognition of the authorship of the work and the first publication in this journal.

Sources of funding

The issue of the magazine is carried out on the material and technical basis of the ALERTA Publishing Company

An additional source of funding is editorial fees.

The fee for processing the article is paid once only if the manuscript is accepted for publication after peer review. The journal VKS does not charge a fee for filing or reviewing.

The cost of publication is 1000 (thousand) hryvnia. For the period of martial law, the publication of an article in the journal is free.


The cost of publication includes the following prepress services:
 

  • editing the text part of the manuscript;
  • proofreading the stylistics and grammar of the manuscript;
  • layout of the article;
  • drawing processing and typing on graphs in English;
  • checking the compliance of sources with the research topic, making bibliographic descriptions in accordance with the ARA in English;
  • processing of figures given in the manuscript;
  • checking the correspondence of periodical sources to the research topic, drawing up a list of references in accordance with APA;
  • appointment of the DOI manuscript.

The editors can provide services for professional translation of the manuscript of the article into English or literary proofreading of English-language manuscripts of articles for a fee.
