NEW HORIZONS FOR COOPERATION
Review
This article examines the establishment and development of international academic cooperation between Zhetysu State University named after Ilyas Jansugurov (Kazakhstan) and Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. It traces the partnership from the 2013 signing of a cooperation agreement through the exchange of faculty and students, including lectures delivered by KNU professors of criminal law at ZSU in 2015–2018. The paper describes ZSU’s educational and research infrastructure—its history, academic staff, material and technical resources, instructional methods, student services, grant schemes, and extensive international ties with universities in Europe, Asia, and the USA. It demonstrates how collaboration with KNU has enhanced legal education standards in Kazakhstan and strengthened the region’s academic network.
