In his 2017 monograph Measures to Secure Criminal Proceedings: Theory and Practice, Vasyl I. Farynnyk examines both Ukrainian practice and international standards (ECHR, ECtHR jurisprudence) to:
trace the historical and conceptual origins of procedural coercion;
